Project Scope
This project was for a client just south of Timaru for storage while they were building their new home. We were hired as the clients saw our Facebook posts on recent sheds that we had completed in the area. We went to the site, discussed what was needed, came up with a plan of action, sent a quote and got the project straight away.
The section we were constructing this shed on used to belong to a farmer who subdivided the land. This meant that with a little bit of rain, the ground became soft and muddy, unable to be built on. We dug the topsoil 600mm down until we hit hard clay and built up from there with ap60, ap40 and finally ap20 base course.
Being so close to the sea we constantly got hit with the sea breeze making roofing and fixing the wall paper a nightmare. To combat most of this we started a lot earlier – from 6 am – to fight the wind ensuring we got everything up before the wind started up around 10 am to 11 am.
